y passion for wine started at Uni studying a Finance and Business degree, when I decided to do my dissertation on the French wine industry through the ages. Learning about the history of wine and the passion and love that go into making such a fun product excited me straight away. I also worked for a brewery during my Uni placement year instilling in me a love of the booze industry. I never looked back.
I love visiting new places so I started picking different wine regions to go and see, a great excuse to go somewhere new every time you go away.
After nine years of working and experiencing different parts of the wine industry such as retail, vintage work in a winery, sommelier in restaurants and sales in the London on-trade, I decided to create The Wine Tramp.
In this website, I want to offer a space where people who have a curiosity for the world of wine can explore and pick up knowledge.
Organising a private virtual tasting with friends hosted by a qualified sommelier, or choosing a mixed case of wine to explore unknown regions and grape varieties, or simply buying wines that have been recommended by someone you trust are the services we offer.
If you are open minded and are up for try something new, then The Wine Tamp is for you.
